A new training Trusted Research Environment for the longitudinal research community

How can researchers adapt to rapidly evolving data landscapes where Longitudinal Population Studies (LPS) data are increasingly accessed, linked and analysed within Trusted Research Environments (TREs)?
Andy Boyd, Director of UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (UK LLC) and our Infrastructure Chair, will address this question at the Society for Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies Annual Conference, presenting a PRUK-funded project developed through UK LLC.
The project is creating a new training Trusted Research Environment (t‑TRE) designed to build capability using synthetic data.
This user-focused session will outline the rationale and proposed approach for the t‑TRE, helping to address a critical infrastructure gap in the LPS landscape.
Alongside the session, you can also meet members of the PRUK team at our stand during the event.
The conference will take place in Brussels from 29 June – 1 July 2026, and is sponsored by PRUK, CLOSER, Centre for Longitudinal Studies, and the Panel Study of Income Dynamics.
